Zenith Programming Guide - Cable Boxes
1. Turn on your CABLE BOX.
2. Push and hold down the "Code Search" button until you see the remote control indicator light, glow. Once you see the indicator light glow, release the "Code Search" button.
3. Next, quickly Push and release the (CBL) CABLE BOX button on the remote.
*note: The indicator light should flash on and off a few times before finally staying lit.
4. Locate the corresponding 3 digit CABLE BOX Codes from your Zenith Remote Codes list. Enter the first 3 digit code on the codes list by using the remote controls numbered key pad. Once the first 3 digit code on the list is entered, the indicator light should shut off.
*note: If the indicator light Does Not turn off or if it begins to flash rapidly, check your code and reenter it; or move-on to the next 3 digit code on the CABLE BOX codes list.
5. Finally, with both your TV and Cable Box on; point the remote control at your CABLE BOX and press a few buttons. If the CABLE BOX turns off, than you have successfully programmed your remote control to operate your CABLE BOX.
*note: If the television does not turn off or if some buttons on the remote control do not operate the CABLE BOX correctly; repeat steps 1-5, but enter the next 3 digit codes on the list for your CABLE BOX brand.
6. Once the correct codes is located write it down for future use. (We recommend that you write the code on a piece of tape and stick it on an indiscreet location on the CABLE BOX.)
