Xbox 360 Remote Control Codes Programming Guide

Programming your Xbox 360 Remote Control to operate your Home Entertainment equipment doesn't have to be hard. All your have to do is follow a few simple steps, and your Xbox 360 remote control will be operating all of your equipment in no time flat!

First thing you'll want to do is to be sure your Xbox remote control has fresh working batteries in it. Next you'll need to make sure that whatever devices your going to program are not blocked by any thing, in any way. This is because the remote controls inferred lazar needs to make contact with the devices inferred receiver window.

Now that the basics are out of the way you can begin the Xbox's Remote Control programming process.

1) It Simple to program your Xbox 360 remote control. Just turn on your TV or other device (Just One!) and point the remote control at it. Now press and hold the TV (or DVD, VCR, etc.) and the OK button at the same time for at least 3 seconds. Doing this will set the remote control into programming mode and all of the buttons on remote control will begin to flash for a short while.

2) Now all you have to do is press either the CH + button or the CH- button. With each press of the Channel buttons you will automatically search through the remote controls stored device codes. (*note: CH+ searches codes in consecutive order 0001, 0002, 0003, etc; and CH- searches in reverse order 0003, 0002, 0001, etc.). Wait two seconds between each press of the Channel button. If you think you may have skipped a code you can always use the CH- button to reverse. Continue pressing either the CH+ button or the CH- button until the TV or other Device turns off.

3) After the device (TV, VCR, etc.) has turned off press the corresponding button on the remote control; for example: the TV button. This will store the code into the remote controls memory. If stored correctly the remote controls buttons will light up and flash three times.

Congratulations! You have successfully programmed your Xbox 360 remote control. Use this guide to program all of your Home Entertainment equipment, and you'll have your Xbox 360 remote codes programmed for all your needs.
