TiVo Remote Codes Programming Guide
TiVo remote codes can be found with in the TiVo it self. You can use TiVo's on screen display to retrieve these codes. To use TiVo's on screen codes display, push Setup, TV/AV.
*note: codes located within your TiVo may be out of date, thus incorrect. Check our site for the most current TiVo remote codes.
1) The first thing you'll need to do is to have your TiVo remote control and codes ready. Use the codes list to find your television brand name (Sony, Fisher, Samsung, etc.)
2) Press and hold the TiVo button and POWER button at the same time until the TiVo button light up. The TiVo button will remain lit for approximately 30sec.
*note the next step must be finished within the 30 second time limit. If no action is preformed or if the next step is not completed within the allowed time, the remote control will automatically cancel the programming.
3) Now its time to enter the code/codes into the TiVo remote control. Locate the number pad on your TiVo remote control. Press the corresponding numbers that match the ones previously found on the remote control codes list. Enter the first code on the list for your TV brand. Once you have completed entering the first code on the list, you should see the TiVo LED light flash three times. The flashing light indicates that the code was accepted.
4) Lastly, point the TiVo remote control at your TV, and push the POWER button (on the remote control). The remote control should now be able to turn the television ON and OFF. If it does, it has the correct code and your finished programming your remote control. However, if it does NOT, you will need to repeat step 2 and 3 with the next code listed for your TV brand.
