Sony BDP Remote Control Functions
The keys on the remote may have different functions dependent on the disc and the task that is being performed.
Number 5, AUDIO, VOL +, and NPLAY have a tactile dot on each of these keys. The tactile dots may be used as a reference when operating the player. If no functions are performed on the player or remote within a 30 minute time period, the player will automatically be set to standby mode.
OPEN/CLOSE
The disc tray will automatically open and close.
TV-INPUT
Changes from TV to various input sources and components.
TV-
(on/standby)
Powers on the TV, or sets to standby mode.
Powers on the disc player, or sets to standby mode. To enter the title, chapter, etc. use the number buttons 0-9 or B Number buttons.
VOL +/-
Adjusts the volume up or down on the TV.
THEATER
Will automatically switch to the best possible video mode when watching movies. The THEATER key will only be functional if it is connected to either a Sony Theater compatible AV receiver or a Sony Theater compatible TV.
AUDIO
If multilingual tracks are recorded on BD-ROMs this key will allow you to select the language of your choice.
DVD VIDEOs
Allows sound tracks to be selected on CDs.
SUBTITLE
If multilingual subtitles are recorded on BD-ROMs this key will allow you to select the subtitle language of your choice.
FAVORITES
Will display the favorites list which will contain all of the Internet content programs that was previously added. The favorites list may hold up to 18 preferred programs.
Color buttons (YELLOW/BLUE/RED/GREEN)
Interactive function may obtain shortcuts with this key.
TOP MENU
To open the Top Menu for the BD or DVD press this key once. Press again to close the menu.
POP UP/MENU
To open the menu for the BD-ROM or DVD press this key once. Press again to close the menu.
OPTIONS
When the options key is selected the options menu will appear on the television screen.
HOME
Displays the home menu. When on the category icon of the home menu this key will display the wall paper.
RETURN
Returns to the display previously viewed.
Highlights a specific item to be displayed.
Center button (ENTER)
Chooses the selected item currently highlighted.
PREV/NEXT
Will jump back or advance a chapter, track, or file from which is currently being viewed.
REPLAY/ADVANCE
Will fast reverse (repeat) the scene currently viewed for 10 seconds or fast forwards the scene currently viewed for 15 seconds.
*Can either fast reverse or fast forward the disc when the key is pressed during playback. Each time the key is pressed during playback of videos, the search speed is adjusted.
*When in pause mode, press this key for at least 2 seconds to play in slow motion.
*When in pause mode, briefly press this key to play frame by frame.
PLAY
Will begin playing or re-play content.
DISPLAY
Will show the playback data on the TV panel
PAUSE
Will temporarily stop play at current location or re-play after paused.
STOP
Stops playing content and remembers the location from which it is stopped and may be resumed at a later point.
