GE Remote Control Codes Programming Guide
It is a good idea to have some sort of programming guide, when programming a GE remote control. Using the following GE Remote Control Programming Guides, will make programming your remote control a "Snap!".
1. Turn on the Device you wish to program (TV, Cable box, Satellite Receiver, etc.).
2. Press and hold the SETUP button on the remote control. Release the button once you see the light on the remote control.
3. Next, use your remote control select the device you wish to program (TV, Cable box, Satellite Receiver, etc.). Do this by simply pressing and releasing the button (*note: Device buttons are usually located at the very-top on very-bottom of the remote control) . If all steps were done correctly, the device button you just pushed should be lit-up.
4. Locate the remote control codes listed for your device & brand. GE device codes can be found in your manual. However, if you do not have a manual handy, the codes can be found right here on this site!
5. Now that you have found the remote codes for your device & brand you'll need to enter them. Enter the first four digit code listed for your device & brand. (*note: After completing the code the device button should no longer be lit.)
6. Point the remote control at the device being programmed (TV, Cable box, Satellite Receiver, etc.), then press the POWER button. Your device should shut OFF.
(*note: If the device remains ON you'll need to repeat steps 2, 3, 5 and 6. Enter the next code on the list, one code at a time until you go through all the codes listed for that device & brand.)
If none of the codes work try using the Auto Search method.

If all steps were done correctly, the device button you just pushed should be lit-up.
4. Alternate between pressing and releasing the CH+ and the POWER button (for example: press CH+, release CH+, press POWER, release POWER and so on, and so forth). Continue doing this until the device powers OFF, or until your too tired to press anymore buttons (hopeful it works before you get to that point, but there are around 300 codes embedded within the GE remote controls memory.)
5. Once your device turns off immediately press the ENTER button to save the code. The lit device button should turn OFF. Congratulations, you're finished programming your GE remote control codes!
